Lots of our local residents here in West Palm Beach have been falling victim to fraudulent scams and more. Here are a few steps to remember:
- Do not allow anyone remote access into your computer, if remote access is absolutely necessary, then it should be someone you absolutely trust.
- Do not send money back to anyone without confirming or involving your bank in great depth, some scams are centered around an accidental over payment.
- Always be cautious and weary
- Do not visit unfamiliar or unsafe sites
- Virus scan your computer often
- Do not log into banks or any website that contains funds on a public computer or on a public wifi.
- Banking should really be done at the bank for security in our opinion.
